The #17 Tennessee Volunteers take on Florida State Seminoles in Niceville, Florida to take part in the 2019 Emerald Coast Classic. Tennessee is 5-0 and Florida State is 5-1 on the year.  Tennessee beat Chattanooga 58-46 while Florida State beat Chicago State 113-56 on November 25th. Sophomore guard Devin Vassell and freshman forward Patrick Williams led the way with 16 points each for a Florida State team that shot 65.5 percent from the floor and 43.5 percent (10-of-23) from 3-point range in the rout of Chicago State, while RaiQuan Gray returned from a two-game absence (injury) to tie freshman Balsa Koprivica with a team-high seven rebounds. 

MATCHUP SUMMARY

This will be a defensive battle to the finish as both teams dominate on the defensive side of things. The  Seminoles have played extremely well so far this year with really good offensive numbers and their defense is always tough. Tennessee may have more talent but Florida State should be able to defend them well to pull off the win and possibly cover the spread.
