GIANTS VS ATHLETICS PREDICTION

San Francisco sends out lefty Alex Wood (10-3, 4.14 ERA), and Oakland counters with righty James Kaprielian (6-4, 3.33 ERA). The Giants have won 9 out of their last 11 games. Oakland has lost 4 of their last 5 interleague home games facing a left-hand starter.  The Giants beat the A’s in two of three meetings in June in San Francisco when they limited Oakland to only 11 runs in 3 games. James Kaprielian has squandered 11 runs on 18 hits in his last three outings spread across only 15.2 innings.  This line opened with the Athletics listed as a short -109 home favorite and the Giants a -101 road dog. The public is split but the sharps have jumped on the Giants steaming the line up to -115. Non-division favorites receiving 10-cents of steam or more are 242-149 (61.9%) this season.
