The Dodgers have won the season series every year over the Rockies since 2017, including a 13-6 advantage a year ago. Colorado had an offensive problem last season and with Trevor Story gone and only bringing in Bryant, it shouldn’t be much different. The Dodgers have a deep pitching staff, and Gonsolin can be tough to hit with opponents batting just .200 with a 27.2% strikeout rate against him last year. The Rockies have a team career batting average of .146 against Gonsolin with Blackmon and Bryant being the only guys to have any type of success against him with a home run each. The Dodgers have a career .262 against Marquez with Betts (.455), Freeman(.300), Lux (.333), and Taylor (.375), leading the Dodgers offense. Bellinger and Muncy have taken Marquez deep twice apiece and Turner has a homer off him as well. Marquez was lit up for 5 runs in 4 innings in his last start facing the Dodgers late last season. Look for Gonsolin to have a solid first start and the Dodgers bats to get to Marquez.
