4:10 p.m. ET: Seattle Mariners (0-0) at Minnesota Twins (0-0)
Odds: Mariners +103 / Twins -113
Over/Under: 7.5 +100/-120
This Opening Day game between the Seattle Mariners and Minnesota Twins was originally scheduled for yesterday but was pushed back to today due to weather. Robbie Ray gets the start and he won the Cy Young in 2021 with Toronto and posted a WHIP of 1.04 and K/9 of 11.5. Joe Ryan is on the bump for the Twins. As a rookie last season, he went 2-1 with a 4.05 ERA and 0.79 WHIP but only faced a few teams. The Mariners has a great season last year but still didn’t make the playoffs which is why they improved their pitching staff. The Twins have decent pitching but struggled offensively last season due to injuries but brought in a slew of new offensive weapons including Correa from the Astros. After the moves, the Twins made this offseason they have the 2nd best odds in the AL central behind the White Sox. This Twins team is going to surprise opponents early so take advantage of the low home numbers like this one. The public is all over the Mariners but we have seen reverse line movement driving the Twins line up. Look for the Twins to pull off the re-scheduled opening-day upset.

9:38 p.m. ET: Houston Astros (1-0) at Los Angeles Angels (0-1)
Odds: Astros +100 / Angels -110
Over/Under: 9.5 -110
The Los Angeles Angels will host the Houston Astros on Friday with left-hander Reid Detmers on the mound for the second game of the season. The Astros beat the Angels 3-1 in the season opener on Thursday. Detmers, the Angels’ No. 1 prospect, struck out 11 and had 0 walks in 5 2/3 spring training innings, allowing just two runs and six hits. Detmers’ only major-league win last season and the first in his career came against the Astros allowing one run and three hits in 6 innings. Houston will start veteran Jake Odorizzi who was injury-plagued last season, he went 6-7 with a 4.21 ERA in 24 games. Odorizzi is 1-3 with a 5.00 ERA in 8 career starts against the Angels. The Angels’ offense fell short on Thursday and the bullpen let the game get away in the late-inning but the Angels should be able to get to Odorizzi early to give Detmers and the bullpen some breathing room. This is another game we see the public all over the Astros but we have a lot of early reverse line movement on the Angels. Look for Detmers to provide a quality start and the Angels bats to get it going today.
