7:40 p.m. ET: Minnesota Twins (66-85) at Chicago Cubs (67-84)
Odds: Twins -120 / Cubs +110
Total: 7 -105 / -115
This line opened at pick-em with both teams’ odds at -110 but sharp action has driven up the price for the Twins despite the public being all over the Cubs. The Twins are going with rookie pitcher Ryan who came from the Rays great pitching development system. Ryan has put up terrific numbers in both the minors and the Olympics this season while carrying over that success in his first 17 career MLB innings, allowing just 9 baserunners total. That includes 5 solid innings in his debut against this Cubs lineup, which is down to a 90 wRC+. Hendricks was dominant early in the year but now has a 6.47 ERA over his last 12 starts as he’s struggled like the rest of the team since the deadline. The Twins lineup has plenty of bats to keep the offense moving so look for Minnesota and the Over in this one.
The Bookie: Twins -120 / Over 7 -105
