Michigan State had tough a season-opening game against #3 Kansas in New York City last Tuesday and lost 87-74. The Spartans bounced back on Friday with a 90-46 home win over Western Michigan. The Bulldogs beat IUPUI 56-47, Central Arkansas 85-53, and Troy 70-59 in the three home games last week. The Bulldogs have experience, but their talent level is not even close to the Spartans. Butler only led Troy by 4 points with 10 minutes left at home, and Michigan State will not blow close games in the stretch. This line some would consider a trap game but it makes sense with this matchup at Butler. The Spartans are the better offensive and defensive team and comparing numbers with Butler who hasn’t faced a tough opponent yet can be misleading. Take Michigan State to get the cover in this one.
