These rivals are coming off opposite performances in Week 4. The Rams (3-1 SU, 2-2 ATS) suffered their first loss to the Cardinals 37-20 as home favorites. The Seahawks (2-2 SU, 2-2 ATS) just had a nice 28-21 win over the 49ers on the road. Pete Carroll is the master of the short week. Under Carroll, the Seattle Seahawks are 10-1 in Thursday night games and have won their past 9. This line opened with the Rams as a 1-point favorite. The public is pounding the Rams, expecting a bounce-back win. Early sharp money also is on the Rams pushing the line up to -2.5. Seattle has value as a contrarian home dog in a heavily bet primetime game. Primetime dogs are 7-5 ATS this season and 35-24 ATS over the past two seasons. Russell Wilson is 24-10 ATS when getting points as a dog. Divisional dogs are 63-49 ATS since 2020. CenturyLink Field is considered to be one of the best home-field advantages in football. The defending NFC West-champion Seahawks will look to reverse a 30-20 wild-card playoff loss to the Rams on Jan. 9 in Seattle. Take the Seahawks to cover the spread and most likely win outright.
