9:07 p.m. ET: L.A. Dodgers (107-57) at San Francisco Giants (108-55)
Odds: Dodgers -110 / Giants -102
Total: 7.5 -105 / -115
The Dodgers were almost unbeatable in games Urias started, while Gausman has struggled over the last few weeks of the season. After starting dominant for the first two months, Gausman has dropped to a 3.63 ERA since the time of the foreign substance ban enforcement. Gausman’s numbers still aren’t bad, but they don’t quite match up with those of Urias, who put up consistently elite numbers across the board including a 21.1 K-BB%. Gausman, 30, went 1-1 with a 3.21 ERA in three starts against the Dodgers this season, making him 1-3 with a 3.99 ERA against Los Angeles in eight career meetings, including seven starts. Julio Urias went 8-0 with a 1.77 ERA in his last 11 starts, with the Dodgers winning all 11. The stretch included a 6-1 win at San Francisco on Sept. 4, a game in which Urias limited the Giants to one run in 5 2/3 innings. The 25-year-old started five games against the Giants this season, going 2-1 with a 3.38 ERA. Look for the Dodgers to even up the series today.
