Spread: Duke -4.5

The Virginia Cavaliers host the #7 Duke Blue Devils after Jayden Gardner scored 23 points in Virginia’s 74-71 victory over the Miami Hurricanes. The Cavaliers have gone 10-4 at home and the Blue Devils are 13-3 in ACC play. These teams meet for the 2nd time in conference play this season after the Cavaliers won the first meeting 69-68 on Feb. 8. Gardner scored 17 points to help lead the Cavaliers to the win and the Cavaliers ended up getting the win after a late comeback topped with a 3 at the buzzer. Gardner is averaging 15.3 points and 7.1 rebounds for the Cavaliers. Paolo Banchero is shooting 47.1% and averaging 16.9 points for the Blue Devils. Banchero didn’t have a great game in that one with only 9 points and shooting the ball only 9 times and the 3 at the buzzer was right in his face. You can expect Banchero to be ready to roll for this game to make up for one of his worst performances of the season. The Cavs also shot 48% from the field in that game which will be tough to repeat even on their home court. The Cavs could be without Franklin who scored 11 in the first matchup as well. Duke will be looking to get revenge in this spot and get the big road win. Take the Dukies to cover the spread in this one.
