On the other side of the ball, defensive ends Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram have combined for nine sacks in the same four-game stretch. Ingram, in fact, had 1.5 sacks of Mahomes in the meeting last December to boost his total to 5.5 in his past four encounters with the Chiefs.
SUMMARY
The Chiefs have the superior offense and should be able to outscore whatever its mediocre defense allows the Chargers to get. Mahones is an exceptional quarterback with a solid offensive line and receivers who know how to make big plays consistently.
The spate of injuries to Los Angeles’ offensive line is a concern, more so this week since depth will matter with the elevated altitude of Mexico City.
