Atlanta’s Max Fried has pitched very well in each of his last 4 starts allowing a combined 5 runs on 14 hits across 29 innings. The Braves won each of those four starts by Fried. Milwaukee’s Brandon Woodruff didn’t pitch great in the second half of the season, going 2-6 with a 3.41 ERA, a 1.212 WHIP, 18 walks, and 82 strikeouts over 66 innings in 12 starts. He was 2-5 in his last 10 starts and the Brewers lost 7 of those games. Fried is 5-0 in his last 10 starts and the Braves won nine of those outings. This will be the first time Milwaukee will have seen Fried this season. In Woodruff’s only start this season against Atlanta, he gave up three runs on 8 hits in just 5 1/3 innings and Milwaukee lost 8-1. The Braves will have a better chance to get at Woodruff in today’s game. The Braves are 18-10 when Fried takes the bump. Take the Braves to even the series today.
