5:00 p.m. ET: Arizona Wildcats (8-0) at Illinois Fighting Illini (7-2)
Spread: Illinois PK
Total: 153
This will be a tough game for Illinois but if they can get the ball to Cockburn every possession, limit turnovers, and make a lot of threes, they can beat anyone in the country but that’s a lot to ask. The Wildcats are coming off another great performance against Wyoming, shooting 52.8% from the floor with 42 rebounds and 23 team assists. Arizona has really only had one close game this year, a four-point win over Wichita State. The Wildcats have been dominant offensively this season, scoring more than 90 points per game while shooting 50 percent from the field. Even though the Fighting Illini has played well offensively, their defense hasn’t been as good in recent games. The Fighting Illini have also played well offensively, averaging more than 75 points per game. But, they aren’t shooting the ball as well as the Wildcats and will also have a hard time collecting missed baskets against the Wildcats, who grab more than 30 defensive rebounds per game. Illinois also turns the ball over a lot, which will lead to easy scoring opportunities for the Wildcats, who averaged more than 10 steals per game in their last three games. Take the Wildcats to get the win in this one.
