7:40 p.m. ET: Tampa Bay Rays (5-5) at Chicago Cubs (5-4)
Odds: Rays -140 / Cubs +130
Over/Under: 8.5 -120/+100
The Rays’ just dropped two of three games on the South Side against the White Sox while the Cubs split the series against the Rockies on the road. The Rays’ Shane McClanahan (0-1, 3.00 ERA) will look to rebound after giving up 3 runs on 2 hits over 4 2/3 innings in a loss to Oakland in his last outing. In 9 innings across two starts, McClanahan has allowed 3 runs and 6 hits, while striking out 15 with 6 walks. Opponents have just a .188 batting average on him so far this season. Kyle Hendricks (0-1, 7.00) will get his third start of the season after he was pounded for 6 runs, 7 hits, and 4 walks in 3 2/3 innings in a bad loss to the Pirates. The Rays have not gotten off to a good start this season but they are still one of the better clubs in the MLB. Coming off a nice win against the White Sox should bring some momentum into this game. McClanahan is throwing better than Hendricks so far this year and the Rays have the better bullpen with plenty of arms to bring in so look for the Rays to get the win here.

10:10 p.m. ET: Atlanta Braves (5-6) at Los Angeles Dodgers (7-2)
Odds: Braves +180 / Dodgers -200
Over/Under: 8 -115/-105
Clayton Kershaw (1-0, 0.00) will face the Braves for the 13th time in his career and he has a 5-1 record and a 2.20 ERA against them, with 91 strikeouts and 15 walks in 81 2/3 innings. The Braves will be going with Huascar Ynoa (0-1, 15.00). The right-hander was roughed up for five earned runs and seven hits in just three innings on April 11 in an 11-2 loss to the Nationals. Ynoa will make his first career start against the Dodgers. Atlanta’s offense has been struggling this season scoring only 1 run in 3 of the last 5 games and Acuna won’t be available in this series but could return as soon as May 6. The Dodgers have been rolling winning 7 games straight averaging 5.7 runs per game while only allowing an average of 1.28 runs per game. When teams are playing well it’s best to keep rolling with them so take the Dodgers to cover another runline.
