Despite having the nation’s #1 recruiting class, Penny Hardaway’s Tigers have been a disappointment while on a 4-game losing streak. The program hasn’t lost 5 in a row since early 2000. This is Alabama’s first true road game and there will be a lot of NBA scouts at this game. The Tigers haven’t been performing well but are loaded with talent. Memphis’ Jalen Duren has averaged 10.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, and three blocks while DeAndre Williams has put up 10.2 points and 5.1 rebounds. For the Crimson Tide, Jaden Shackelford has averaged 19.1 points and 6.9 rebounds while Jahvon Quinerly has put up 15.1 points and 4.3 assists. Alabama has had a tough schedule and with Memphis not playing very well this game could be overlooked. Memphis fans will be in full effect as will home-court advantage. Look for the young talent to step up in this spot to prove they are a top contender this season. Take the Memphis Tigers to get the cover and they could win this one outright.
