Duke took over the #1 spot after defeating Gonzaga in a big game in Las Vegas last week. Over the past three games, the Buckeyes lost at Xavier 71-65, then downed Seton Hall 79-76 on a last-second 3-pointer by Meechie Johnson before losing on a buzzer-beater to No. 23 Florida, 71-68. Liddell is going to have his hands full trying to match the offensive firepower of Paola Banchero and Wendell Moore Jr. This Duke team is good defensively and is ranked 15th in Kenpom’s adjusted defensive efficiency rating. The Blue Devils should dominate the boards, especially on the offensive glass. Duke is 19-3 all-time in the Challenge while the Buckeyes are 9-11 with victories over North Carolina and Notre Dame in the past two events. Take the Blue Devils to get the win here even though this line looks like a trap.
