Oakland is a mess and has lost 10 straight games to Seattle. The A’s are on the verge of being taken out of the playoff picture while the Mariners are still going for it. The A’s pitching staff has been terrible in the final months and are 26th in ERA at 5.28, giving up almost 1 run more than Seattle. The Mariners won 9 of the last 10 games to get back in the Wild Card race and after the A’s were swept at home in a 4 game series against Seattle they dropped the first two here and play for basically nothing. The A’s appear to be cooked and the Mariners are rolling. Take the better team that is playing better right now that has more to play for. Go with the Mariners in this one.
