8:15 p.m. ET: Detroit Lions (0-1) at Green Bay Packers (0-1)
Spread: Packers -11.5
Over/Under: 48.5
The Lions showed just how bad they are last week, only managing to rally back and cover the closing number once the 49ers took the foot off the gas. The Packers are not going to do the same thing. Aaron Rodgers and the defensive unit will be out to prove a point. The Lions lost their best pass defender in cornerback Jeff Okaduh to a ruptured Achilles last week and that doesn’t bode well for their defense. The Lions’ defense allowed a league-worst 419.8 total yards per game last season. It looked like the exact same defense that got pounded by the 49ers in a game where they gave up 442 total yards. Both of Detroit’s running backs, D’Andre Swift and Jaamal Williams might be too banged-up to play in this game. Wideout Tyrell Williams has already been ruled out. Take the Packers to prove a point in a big win in this Monday Night Football game.
